ASRock Rack’s has launched the new 1U GPU server 1U4G-ROME, which is an NVIDIA® server for the A100 PCIe GPU server platform. The 1U4G-ROME is the first 1U 4 GPU server to Utilise PCI Express 4.0 technology.
The 1U4G-ROME fully utilizes the 128 PCIe4.0 lanes of the single AMD EPYC 7002 series processor through ASRock Rack’s unique design.
Other than 4 PCIe4.0 x16 dual-slot GPU support. The 1U4G-ROME is equipped with 2 additional riser cards for low-profile PCIe4.0 x16 add-in cards that allow NIC extensions of the highest bandwidth.
The 1U4G-ROME supports 8 pieces of the new Enterprise Datacenter Small Form Factor for the storage specification to maximize IOPS with better thermal efficiency.
1U4G-ROME does not affect usability, despite the use of 128 lanes, and still has BMC AST2500 for IPMI and Intel® i350-AM2 for 2x GLAN.
In addition, ASRock Rack now supplies the high-density, space-saving OCP 3.0 server platform with the Open19 standard. In the rectangle form factor, the OCP NIC 3.0 features better EMI containment for serviceability and hot swap functionality. That also means that its thermal situation has more advantages.
In addition, to accommodate 24x 1U half-width bricks. There are also 2 nodes in 1U half-width brick with the high-density design. That means you can get 4 nodes in 1U brick, which is the best bare-bone server on the market for space-saving.
