Description
The 4-12TB My Book Duo External RAID Storage from Western Digital is an external RAID storage enclosure that comes equipped with two Western Digital Red drives. These RAID tested drives come preconfigured within this enclosure in a RAID 0 format for optimum performance supporting data transfer rates of up to 290 MB/s. The drives can also be reformatted to either RAID 1 for enhanced protection or JBOD to use the drives individually.
The My Book Duo comes pre-formatted NTFS to be used on systems running Windows 8 or higher, Windows 7, or Windows Vista. A simple reformat is required to use the My Book Duo with Mac based systems. To plug the My Book into your PC you can use either of the two USB 3.0 ports on the back along with an additional USB 3.0 port for charging devices such as smartphones and tablets.
