The My Cloud DL2100 is a high performance, centralized storage and backup device that is well suited for small business environments. It has been designed for centralizing small business storage with virtual anytime and anywhere access.
The My Cloud DL2100 is comes pre-configured for a user-friendly setup and system management. It also has an intuitive dashboard that helps guide you through the process of setting up users and shares, as well as customizing system features and monitoring storage. It also features a toolless and trayless drive bay design and drive installation, helping to simplify the hot swap process.
This NAS is powered by a 1.7 GHz Intel Atom C2350 Dual-COre processor, which will allow you to run multiple functions simultaneously. The processor features a burst speed of 2.0 GHz and the built-in 1GB of DDR3 RAM, which can be upgraded to 5GB, will allow quick access to frequently-used files and programs. Network connectivity is achieved via the 2 x Gigabit Ethernet ports. Having 2 x Gigabit Ethernet ports not only provides network redundancy in the event that one port fails, but it also provides link aggregation to help enhance network performance. In addition to the dual Gigabit Ethernet ports, it also features dual power supplies, to help keep the NAS running in the event that one of the power supplies fails. This NAS also has 2 x USB 3.0 ports.
The My Cloud DL2100 features two SATA drive bays that can accommodate the included 2 x 2TB 3.5″ WD Red drives. The included WD Red drives are built with a SATA III 6 Gb/s interface, a 64MB cache, an IntelliPower rotational speed, a read speed of up to 115 MB/s, and write speeds of up to 107 MB/s. They are also designed for 24×7 NAS environments and use NASware technology. NASware technology helps to further optimize WD Red drives for the NAS environment in respect to factors such as vibration compensation, optimized power usage, and data protection in the case of a power loss or disruption.
This WD NAS also features AES 256-bit encryption that helps provide additional protection for your data, and RAID 0, 1, JBOD, and spanning can be used to configure various levels of data performance or redundancy. As this NAS features a built-in processor, this means that should a user wish to take advantage of the RAID functionality, the RAID controller is integrated into the NAS and thus RAID functionality will be controlled by the NAS and its hardware, instead of being controlled by software.
The My Cloud DL2100 operates on 100-240 VAC at 50-60 Hz and includes an Ethernet cable, as well as a power supply and cable. It is compatible with Windows 8.1, 8, 7, and Vista, as well as Mac OS X Yosemite, Mavericks, Mountain Lion, and Lion. There’s also the Milestone ARCUS app and two camera licenses to set up the My Cloud as an easy-to-manage surveillance solution. You can download the ARCUS app though My Cloud’s dashboard and nearly all your cameras will be automatically detected.

RAID Roaming keeps the RAID array intact when drives are moved from one My Cloud Business Series device to another. RAID Migration allows for change to the RAID configuration and expansion of storage without losing data
